Copy and Paste Symbols
535 symbols across 20 categories. Tap any symbol to copy it. Text symbols and emoji are listed apart, because they behave differently.
♥ and ❤️ are different characters, not two versions of one. The text symbol takes the colour and size of the text around it; the emoji renders in colour at emoji size and pushes the line height of a bio. Most pages in this corner of the web mix them freely, which is how people end up with a red heart they did not ask for.

Ready-made combinations
Nobody puts a single ⋆ in a bio — the style works by framing words. Those finished compositions live apart from the character lists: aesthetic symbols for the monochrome kind, emoji combos for the colour kind, and the text decorator to build either around your own words.

Common questions
- Are these symbols free to use?
- Yes. These are Unicode characters, the same standard that encodes ordinary letters. Nobody owns them and there is nothing to attribute. The trademark and copyright marks are an exception in one sense: the characters are free, but using ® for a mark that is not registered is a misrepresentation in several jurisdictions.
- Why do some symbols look different on another device?
- Each device draws these characters with whatever font covers them, and coverage varies enormously. Some symbols also have both a text and an emoji presentation, and platforms differ on which one they pick by default.
- Do symbols work in usernames?
- Almost never. Most platforms restrict usernames to letters, numbers and a couple of punctuation marks. Symbols work in display names, bios and messages instead — the details differ per platform.
